Workplace Harassment and Violence Policy and Program (002)

January 28 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Why You Need It

Workplace harassment and violence can affect all business sectors and occupations. STS Group’s industry-leading Workplace Harassment and Violence Policy and Program provides the employer with a baseline appropriate to building a fully compliant and effective harassment and violence program. In order for the employer to maximize the policy and program effectiveness, the STS technical writer will rely on information provided by the employer on workplace harassment and violence risk assessment.

Failure to prevent inappropriate or unacceptable behaviors has financial consequences. Costs are associated with: investigation time, loss of productivity, poisoned working environment, absenteeism, and worst case scenario, loss-time injuries. Workers directly or indirectly affected by workplace harassment and violence suffer anxiety and may become less productive and less committed to their work.

All provincial and federal legislation require employers to prepare a written harassment and violence policy and program to implement that policy.

Course Overview

The STS Group’s workplace harassment and violence policy and program is undertaken and delivered based on legislative standards, employer risk assessment, and best practices.

The final workplace harassment and violence policy and program will detail duties and responsibilities of workplace parties, and procedures associated with prevention and management in the event of harassment or violence in the workplace.

The STS Group’s workplace harassment and violence policy and program will assist the employer to meet this legislative requirement.
