Joint Health And Safety Committee Training – Part 2

Overview

This training will provide students with knowledge on significant hazards specific to their workplace/sector, how to identify and control them and provide techniques to generate corrective action plans with the recommendations.

For companies in Ontario with more than 20 workers, having a JHSC is a legal requirement under section 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This part two training is industry specific such as Construction, Manufacturing, Agricultural.

STS Group’s Joint Health and safety training focuses on the legislation, standards and best practices of their application in the workplace. Participants will be required to complete in class assignments and be given tools necessary to ensure transition from classroom to workplace.

Prerequisites

JHSC Part 1 Basic Certification required

Certification

JHSC Part 2 Workplace Specific Hazard Certification, Certified JHSC Member Wallet Card

Validity

It expires within 3 years and in order to maintain the certification you must have to take one day refresher training.
